What's new in Pling
Recent user-facing improvements to the Pling iPhone app and host agent. For the canonical per-version history, see the App Store listing.
July 2026
- Smarter host agent (v0.16.0). The agent reconnects instantly after a dropped connection and recovers cleanly when your machine wakes from sleep.
- Live status. See the agent's live connection state in the local web UI and with
pling status. - Security hardening. Tightened the local web UI and the self-updater, and added a setting to turn terminal sharing off entirely.
- Fixes. The Windows service now runs reliably, and the agent writes log files on macOS and Windows.
- Pling Agent for macOS (v0.2.0). The menu-bar icon now shows agent health at a glance, errors are clearer, onboarding is smoother, and sign-in feedback is faster.
June 2026
- Live session sharing. Share any live SSH or Mosh session as a link, with a redesigned in-browser viewer and join-by-code. How sharing works.
- Smarter AI terminal agent. The agent handles long-running scans more gracefully and no longer gets stuck re-issuing the same command.
- More resilient connections. SFTP reconnects automatically after the app returns from the background, and sessions restore reliably after a flaky network.
- Vault-scoped hosts. The Hosts tab now follows your active vault, so each vault shows only its own hosts.
- Terminal polish. Fixed a keyboard that could get stranded, clipped dictation transcripts, and made the keyboard dismiss cleanly when menus and palettes open.
